Referring to an archival document, Fringed Tulip Toile is reinvented as a worn batik-style print. Bicéfalos roses and tulips appear worn, aged but beautiful, aged but grandiose. This textured and stripped design imitates the extraction printing technique, a special block printing process that removes one color to create a lightened, almost bleached effect, revealing the design in a new light.
