The gloriously flat design of Campanula, a densely populated frame of vibrant flowers, acquires another layer of intensity with the overloaded color stories. Alan Francis Vigers produced Campanula in 1900 and had it printed at the wallpaper printing press of Jeffrey & Co., a manufacturer widely regarded as respectful of craftsmanship. We have printed Campanula in surflex, offering a contrast of depth between the flat surface and the three-dimensionality of the design, paying homage to the woodblock printing widely used in the time of William Morris.
