The almond tree is the first fruit tree to flower in spring. Once the blossoms have appeared, they give way to lance-shaped leaves in luminous tones. MANDORLA captures this special moment, when the almond orchards are transformed into the colours of the South of France. Created from textures of fabrics and paints, this large-scale design suggests intertwined leaves. The textile veining accentuates the multiple material effects of the shapes. The palette is created using seven print cylinders, recreating the warm tones of Provence and the softness of neutral tones.
