FABRICS Gentle 2 C0223

Gentle 2 is the only stretch velvet upholstery fabric on the market. Designed by Febrik, it comes in a refreshed colour range and combines a cosy presence with a sumptuously soft pile.

The fabric is constructed by weaving loops through a base layer and then cutting the surface. Thanks to a subtly ribbed surface derived from the naturally uneven thicknesses of the wool yarns, Gentle 2 has a rich surface with an elegant sheen.

Gentle 2 has a particularly opulent feel as it is laminated on a 2 mm thick foam backing. This ensures that the textile stands out with a voluminous expression that distinguishes it from traditional woven velvets.

The updated colour palette perfectly complements the soft and comfortable expression of Gentle 2. It is composed of light pastels and light and bright shades such as lavender, cream, tangerine and electric blue.

Suitable for both public and private spaces, Gentle 2 offers excellent stretchability due to its knitted construction. Consequently, it adheres to curves in a particularly elegant manner and is ideal for upholstering organic shapes as well as any other form.
