Hillier is screen printed to emulate a block print. In addition to the print, Hillier has an embroidered chain stitch outline that adds an extra dimension. With a small stylised trace within a geometric shape, it is unusual that it is the ground that is printed and not the figure, giving a sense of pattern and colour unusual in this type of design.
