Palermo's apparently simple appearance actually hides a sophisticated production process, which Rubelli used for the first time as an exclusive for Armani/Casa. In fact, the warp yarns are particularly thick and are woven with viscose chenille wefts thanks to a special technique: in this way, the chenille is "caged" by the other yarns, so that the pile of chenille becomes invisible, but gives the fabric a very soft and pleasant feel.
