The damier motif returns in the Cleveland micro print, where silk satin alternates with a twisted metallic thread (linen/acetate) creating a particular effect thanks to the different sheens of the different threads. The small squares become three-dimensional, raised thanks to a heat-shrinkable weft, a thread woven into the back of the fabric that is shortened by the heat of the finish. This effect is permanent and does not flatten when the fabric is upholstered.
