Tiébélé, in Burkina Faso, is the only African village of its kind with unique and impressive painted mud houses. They decorate their houses by painting intricate designs on the outside walls of their houses, using mud and coloured chalk. While the construction of the houses is done by the men, the painting is a women's job. The houses are decorated with incredibly precise and delicate folkloric patterns. This amazing jacquard is inspired by Africa and this very ancient practice resulting in a heavy geometric weave, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
