Description:
The love between Radha and Krishna stars in the most beautiful fables and its story is present in important Hindu celebrations such as Jhulan Yatra, the festival of swings. After the heat of summer, when clouds float in the skies, the Brajwasi celebrate the arrival of the first rains. With the onset of the monsoon, ponds and lakes fill with fresh water, lotuses bloom, the air is filled with a pleasant fragrance and the forests of Vrindavan are decorated with wonderful jhula, such as the one in which Radha and Krishna were swinging, depicted in this Haute Porcelain creation.
In keeping with tradition, the swing is delicately decorated with numerous flowers, which, together with those of the garland worn by Krishna, are made from more than 200 petals, hand-crafted one by one. The clothing of the lovers corresponds to their spiritual value, and Lladró's artists have recreated it in great detail. From the jewellery, hand-engraved and decorated with gold and copper lustre, to the embroidery on the fabrics or the hand-applied decoration combining intense colours such as orange and blue.
Radha Krishna in a swing is a creation that seems to float in the air, suspended on a wooden base. In this way, the divine couple eternally sways in their legendary swing, transmitting their divine love to the world.
