Owls were the emblem of the Greek goddess Athena, a symbol of intelligence, agility and cunning, and the artists at Lladró have chosen her to join the Boldblack collection. In this series, the animals that make up the collection are made from black porcelain and only touches of gold lustre are used for their decoration. The effect of these creations is very striking. On the one hand, because of the decoration, and on the other because the matt porcelain workmanship highlights the sculpture and the engravings. This owl's faithful reproduction, the face and the meticulous work in the recreation of the plumage and the wood of the trunk stand out. A creation that pays homage to the animal world and which, thanks to its chromatic treatment, is highly decorative.
