Description:
This limited series of Haute Porcelain brings to life a revered goddess, recreating with innovative chromaticism the healing light given off by "she who hears the lament of the world". According to a popular Chinese belief, Kwan Yin lives on the island of Pu-tuo-shan, where her temple is located, surrounded by a lake of violet light that cures the ailments of all those who bathe in its waters. It is said that she will not rest until she has freed all human beings from their suffering. The image of the goddess is decorated with innovative colours, never before used in a Lladró piece, such as purple and mauve tones, or the metallic colours of gold and aged silver of the wild flowers. For the rest of the piece, a harmonious chromatic range has been used, in shades of green and yellow.
