Description:

Rama and Sita are the protagonists of an epic love story that forms part of the Ramayana, one of the greatest apopeyas of ancient India. Both characters are depicted according to traditional iconography in classical lustre porcelain, with an elaborate decoration in which the use of liquid colours and varied glazes stand out, resulting in a rich ensemble with very vivid tones, characteristic of the Hindu chromatic range. The meticulous ornamentation helps to detail the rich clothing, necklaces, bracelets, helmets and especially the bow, an authentic filigree reproduced in gilded brass by a goldsmith.
