Inspired by Greek mythology, this play stars the serene beauty of Arion and the dynamic exuberance of the sea creature on which he rides: a beautiful example of counterpoint between gentleness and strength. Legend has it that the god Apollo created the constellation of the Dolphin in honour of Arion, who was saved from drowning by these animals. The dolphin of the myth is here a fantastic sea horse that recreates the one in William-Adolphe Bouguereau's painting Arion with a Sea Horse. A limited Haute Porcelain series full of dynamism and strength, with a decoration dominated by the contrast between the whiteness of Arion's skin and the chromatic richness of the horse and its armour.
