The hundreds of scales that cover its skin are painted by hand, one by one, with different shades of blue that give it a special shine, a very laborious technique that requires the expertise of the best artists. The luminosity that distinguishes its spectacular decoration is achieved by combining glossy and satin finishes. The complexity of the dragon's forms and the large number of small details make its creation process particularly difficult, from the modelling of the original sculpture to its final firing in the kiln.
