Description:

They were emperors during the Heian period, the period of peace and tranquillity. A time of samurai, poetry and art, in which the emperor and empress were the guardians of traditions and had to behave with courage, wisdom and benevolence. Over the years, the figure of the emperors became a symbol of fortune and prosperity, and so during the popular Hina Matsuri festival held every March, newborn girls are presented with Hina Dolls, an emperor and an empress, as a sign of a prosperous and happy life. This version, made in glossy porcelain, stands out for its decoration in beige and pink tones and for the faithfulness and detail of the clothing, typical of the imperial court of the time.
