Description:
Saraswati symbolises knowledge, arts and truth, education and culture. She tells us that knowledge is the path to freedom, and her entire iconography is wrapped up in her message. The four arms represent the states of mind, and the objects she carries in her hands: the bead necklace, the book and the instrument, are identified with meditation, knowledge or music. Dressed in the white sari, symbol of her purity, she is decorated with soft shades of red, brown and blue. A chromatic range which, covered by a subtle layer of varnish, gives the piece serenity and magnetism. The symbolism and deep spirituality of this goddess are captured in this new representation, entirely handmade in the Lladró workshops.
