Two unique new carpets woven on jacquard looms and delivered with borders. Sizes can be customised. They come in two-tone colour combinations that contrast a darker yarn with the bright tone of the main colour, and have a pleasantly rough consistency underfoot. Thanks to the natural properties of wool, the rugs are hard-wearing and fire-resistant, help regulate temperature and absorb moisture. They are made with wool from an Italian sheep breed, Pecora Sopravissana, bred in the Marche region of central Italy, which was severely affected by the 2016 earthquake. Loro Piana launched a special initiative in the town of Visso to support local communities. artisans, enabling them to get back to work. One of the projects was based on the idea of using the wool of the Sopravissana sheep, normally raised for its milk and meat.
