The first design by Simone Post for Kvadrat, Sinuous, is based on how certain colors create a visual “vibration” when placed next to each other. As a result of a thorough research process, in which the designer performed countless samples to find the perfect balance, this 100% wool carpet is ideal for both domestic and contract spaces.

The colour palette of Sinuous varies from crude, light grey, anthracite and dark earth to intense yellow, red and midnight blue. The bold and vivid threads are created by hand-in-hand intertwined with smaller threads in five different colors. These twisted handjobs are intertwined with small simple threads that use the same colors to create different color mixing levels on the carpet surface.

The general effect is a shining puntilistic carpet; when seen from the distance, the surface of the carpet seems warm and quiet. Next, the wealth of all the different color details becomes hypnoticly evident. The twisted fringes in different densities emphasize their joyful and fun look.
