    With delicate organic irregularities reminiscent of natural surfaces, it might come as a surprise to learn that Braid is made from post-consumer recycled polyester. Designed by Karin An Rijlaarsdam, who focuses on creating sustainable designs with a positive environmental impact, the rug is inspired by the braiding techniques, craftsmanship and landscapes of Grand-Bassam, Côte d'Ivoire, where she lives. It is the first design in the Kvadrat rug collection to include recycled polyester.
