This collection of made-to-measure rugs and carpets is composed of 80% pure wool and 20% yak wool. The latter has been used for more than a century by the inhabitants of the Himalayas and Tibetan plateau mainly for the manufacture of items such as ropes, blankets and other items. In recent years, yak wool has become popular for the manufacture of clothing as well. Some of its characteristics are common to all wools, such as moisture retention, durability and elasticity. Other characteristics are unique to yak wool, including exoticism and softness. These peculiarities have made yak wool a recurring material for international fashion brands.
