It all started in 1842 when Isidore Leroy patented his "multi-color simultaneous printing machine for draped paper and a printing cylinder for paper and fabrics". It was then possible to print continuously on paper, a revolution. The factory experienced a first golden age under the Second Empire, Leroy's wallpapers were sought after all over the world. It experienced a second peak between the 10's and 30's.
