PLANUM

Planum is a knitted upholstery fabric with a refined expression of tissue and a smooth and smooth surface. It comes in colors that inspire curiosity created by Dutch Design Studio Raw Color.

Characterized by a subtle matt shine and a natural and dry touch, the knit fabric is constructed using a simple double point with a predominantly wool surface.

To create the versatile color scale of Planum, Raw Color took a collection of three-dimensional objects as a starting point. The study explored various directions and nuances before making a final selection of 20 tones of 350 hand painted samples.

Raw Color: “We decided to develop the color palette based on hand painted samples. This allowed us to create less awaited and uncommon tones."

Naturally for a knitting fabric, Planum has an excellent stretching capacity, making it ideal for upholstering organic shapes while minimizing the number of seams. Suitable for contract and private use, the textile combines well with the most voluminous three-dimensional textiles in the Kvadrat Febrik collection.
